Element has worked with Steinhoff International for a number of years and in that time have been really excited at the projects we have worked on with them.
Steinhoff International is an integrated retailer that manufactures, sources and retails furniture, household goods and general merchandise in Europe, Australasia and Africa.
We planned, designed, built and maintain the current corporate website which is an extension of the company’s vision and brand. It clearly communicates differing aspects of the business to a variety of stakeholders. We update this site on a regular basis, even building and dropping sections as requirements change.
Steinhoff currently has as many as 90 000 employees through the group. The language range and access to the internet are a challenge when trying to communicate a unified message across 44 countries.
Moving away from the traditional linear style of newsletter, Steinhoff Online delives editorial and images whilst cutting down on number of pageloads to keep the viewers interested and informed.
The finalised content is then translated into five languages, print documents are created and archived to a download section so that division leaders can keep their employees in the know.
Steinhof have provided us with a first: their Corporate Responsibility Report is online only.
Instead of converting content from ready-to-print documents to HTML, in online only or first, the development starts with online in mind. During both report conception and content creation, focus is placed not only on what works best on all types of screens, but also on how a visitor would print it if needed. Content is then updated on a regular basis, negating the need to produce and deliver hard copies annualy, but having the information available internationally.
We'd love to chat.
